Our online classes are live, one-to-one or small-group sessions directly with Guru Smt. Deepa Sadasivam via Google Meet. You receive the same corrections, the same attention, and the same curriculum as our in-person students in Chennai. Nothing is diluted. Nothing is pre-recorded.
Kalpavruksha has been teaching online students since 2020. We currently have students learning from the USA, UK, and across India. Classes focus on regular training and skill development; programme events (Salangai Pooja, Arangetram) are managed in-person as and when the student is ready.
How online classes work
1. Enquire
Fill our contact form or WhatsApp us. Tell us your age, dance experience, and goals. We'll suggest the right programme.
2. Free trial class
Your first session is completely free — a 60-minute class via Google Meet so you can experience the teaching with no commitment.
3. Schedule your batch
We work with your timezone to find suitable slots. Classes meet 2 sessions per week for most batches. Flexible scheduling for IST, EST, BST and other time zones.
4. Begin learning
All you need is Google Meet, a 6×6 ft clear space, and a device with a camera. We'll handle everything else.
Technical requirements
- Device with camera
Laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a front-facing camera. A laptop placed on a low table (so you can see your whole body) works best.
- Stable internet connection
Standard broadband or 4G/5G. We need to see your footwork clearly, so a stable connection matters.
- Clear practice space
At least 6×6 feet with a hard floor. No special flooring required.
- Headphones or good speakers
For hearing the nattuvangam (cymbals and vocal) clearly. Wired headphones reduce lag.
- Google Meet
Classes are conducted via Google Meet. A free Google account is sufficient. We'll send the class link before each session.
